The
Cheers of Old Bridge...
For
many people, especially travelers who see our state
only from the northern reaches of the Turnpike, New
Jersey is the epitome of a modern industrial complex.
Those of us who live (or have lived) in New Jersey,
however, have an all together different image: windswept
beaches, rolling hill country, steep palisades, broad
green river valleys, dense pine forests, and a wonderful
diversity of friendly people are all part of New Jersey's
landscape.
As native New Jerseyans, when
designing our restaurant and bar, we wanted to capture a part of the history of
the "Garden State". A simpler, bygone era, when small family farms dotted the
landscape, and the food was farm fresh, just-caught, newly harvested, hand
picked and home grown - a time when gracious hospitality was a hallmark of good
living, and the local tavern was a center of community life.
In keeping with that tradition,
we wanted a place that provided crisp, professional service and good food, in a
warm, casual atmosphere. We pay a great deal of attention to all of our
ingredients and use foods that are provided by local farmers' markets, growers,
suppliers and vendors who are knowledgeable about quality and freshness. Also,
in celebration of the rich "melting pot" culture that is New Jersey, our menu
features regional American specialties and ethnic cuisines utilizing a variety
of our country's best seasonal bounty, brought to you at its peak of freshness.
We would like everyone to experience the spirit and heritage of New Jersey, a
place we love, while enjoying the food, drinks and service here at The Pine
Tavern.
Thank You for being our
guest.
